Pet Peeve!

Introduction: “Hi, how are you,” that is the welcome that everyone wants to hear as they step into any store. I remember those days where salesclerks treated their costumers with respect and they were like your buddy, helping us make our decisions; but nowadays, things started to change.

Ferris Wheel Eyes
Introduction:I mean do you really want to see the eyes turning like a Ferris wheel before you purchase an item? There are a lot of things I can put up with but I definitely can not stand rude salesclerks!
Why: The reason why stores have costumer service is because it is suppose to help their costumers and make them feel wealthy, not irritate them. We as customers are buying items from their store making them have a successful business and being rude is not a good way to show us their appreciation.
How: As you go throughout life, you will be forced to go out and buy things, but if rude salesclerks continue, you would have to interact with them for the rest of your life. It makes it difficult for me to purchase things because maybe there is only one store that sales the things I need and if that store have pour costumer service, I have no choice but to buy items from them and once again I have to experience another day with rude salesclerks.
Experience: I still remember that one time when this costumer service lady really agitated me even though it was years and years ago. I had politely asked the lady if she can help me find a smaller size for these cute shoes and what happen, she started rolling her eyes at me. If you don’t want to help, say to yourself not express it in front of the costumer!
Closing: I am not asking the world to be perfect but what I am asking is to decrease the percent of rude salesclerks.

Yackety-Yack Shut Your Trap
Introduction: Aren’t you tired of a long answer when you just want to hear the answer yes or no?
Why: When you’re in a hurry and you just want to buy something really quickly there’s always something stopping you to be late; and in this case it’s the salesclerks.
How: Trying to be nice you might ask a salesclerk for their opinion on your dress, thinking that they would answer yes or no but once they start opening their mouth to answer you, you will regret what you did. In place of the answer yes or no the salesclerk would go on and on. Maybe at first they would compliment you but then the criticisms would start hitting toward you.
Experience: Way back in my head, I could still remember how I was late for my family picnic because of a salesclerk. Before the picnic I decided that I should buy some fruits for my family so I went to the supermarket. Because I am still young, I don’t have many experiences with buying food so I asked one of the salesclerk on to pick out good fruits. And what happen, the lady went on and on of the fruits texture, smell, appearance; I mean yeah I want to learn how to pick out fruits, but I don’t need an interminable lesson.
Closing: I do appreciate salesclerk trying to educate me on shopping experiences but I really don’t need to waste half an hour of on and on discussion about fruits! I mean, people have a life you know!
Sassy Face:
Introduction: Do you want to see a salesclerk give you their nastiest face before you ask them a simple question like, “Excuse me, where is the bathroom?”
Why: People will have bad days but you shouldn't try to influence your misery to others. Salesclerks interact and socialize with their customers everyday and dealing with your misery you should try your best to make others don’t feel what your feeling.
How: If the customer is planning for their wedding and they’re looking in your store for their bouquet, you as the salesclerk don’t want to bring them down. But how I see it, salesclerks are always trying their best to make others feel worst then how they’re feeling.
Experience: I still remember this one time, when this customer service lady wasn’t in a good mood and she started screaming at me and other customers!
Closing: I am not asking for everyone everyday to juggle 8 balls on top of the empire building but what I am asking is that salesclerk should make others feel good not bring them down.

Conclusion: My pet peeve is rude salesclerks and not one day I could buy a shirt without having eyes rolling, never-ending discussions on a topic that doesn’t even make sense, and seeing a sassy face. If you’re one of those rude salesclerk, please stop. You might not figure it out but people loath your attitude!
