Which One Do You Think Is Fair?

Which one do you think is fair? Should electives be available on a first come first serve basis or should electives be reserved for the most qualified? Many people have many different opinions and with me, I think electives should be reserved for the most qualified. I know this choice might seem unfair for other unqualified kids that want to be in the class, but here are my reasons on why I chose what I chose.
Reasons why I think electives should be reserved for the most qualified is because sometimes, kids who aren't qualified get into the elective even though the qualified kids can't because they were one day late! I can relate this to my own life because my elective is orchestra but in my class, there are these two kids who doesn't even play but pretends to. It is very frustrating to see because if they aren't going to do anything, why bother join the class?
This is why I chose to have electives be for the most qualified but think about it, which one do you think is fair?

Which side are you on?

I think that public schools should have single-gender classrooms. There are  many reasons why I think boys and girls should separate. One reason is because boys and girls focus on their work better if the opposite gender is not there. Also, behaviors change better if boys and girls get separated. What I mean by that is that boys are always trying to impress the girls by trying to look tough. If the girls aren't in the classroom, they don't have to act tough in the classroom.
In the article, "Boys and Girls Together, Taught Separately in Public Schools," the author talks about the progress with this new idea. As has stated in the article, " tend to focus better without girls around — academic research is inconclusive.: This shows that the students do stay more on task. Also, the article also stated, "“Before it was all about showing the girls who was toughest, and roughing up and being cool,” said Samell Little, now I never hear a word from teachers about behavior problems, and when he talks about school, he is actually talking about work.” This proves that the students behavior do change when in the same-gender classroom. Now the question is, what do you think? Should we have coed classroom or same-gender classroom?
